Artist Description: Graceful petals swaying gently, reaching for the sun.
With a large piece of Cholla cactus skeleton as structure. Flame was created from fibers from one petal of a Santa Rita cactus, repeating it's natural, fascinating pattern throughout the flower.
Hand painted with transparent acrylic colors, and given an archival, museum finish to ensure years of luminous color. Mounted on wood sourced from the Tumacacacori Sawmill
