Artist Description: Swimming free and easy, all Squidley wants to do is to make you smile.
This gorgeous piece of desert fossil wood provides the body, with meticulously reclaimed fibers of the Santa Rita cactus allowing glorious peacock colors to luminate and glow.
Mounted on Arizona petrified wood from the Triassic period over 200 million years ago, Squidley was hand painted with transparent acrylic colors. All were sealed for an archival, museum finish to ensure years of luminous color.
